TO KEEP IN MIND…
FIREWALL TIPS
We will make your firewall bigger than the opening. This way, you can trim the outside edge to get an exact fit. The recess in your firewall should be 2", 3", 4" or 5". These are our standard depths. Small block firewalls need to be approximately 21" to 23" in width. Big block firewalls need to be at least 26" wide in most applications. We can make your firewall any width and any depth you like. If you want ribs rolled in your firewall, you will have to let us know where and what shape you want them. Take a look at some other firewalls to get some ideas.
The bottom of your firewall is where the floor and firewall meet. (NOT all the way down to the chassis). We need to know the angle of the toeboard off of the firewall. (See drawing). It should be approximately 45º.
FLOORBOARD TIPS
Measure the width of your toeboards (L to R) at the firewall. Measure how tall your toeboards are from the floor to the firewall. Measure the width of the bottom of the toeboards. Measure how far back you want your floor to go.
NOTE: Try to keep the first floor no longer than 30"-36" back. That way we can make your front floor and tranny cover in one kit. Once you have this installed, you have a starting point to measure your rear floor. Measure the width at the back of your front floor.
